November 4, 2023 - Dumpster Day

The next Dumpster Day has been scheduled for Saturday, November 4, 2023.

Between the hours of 8am and 4pm (or until the dumpsters are full) located at 9099 E. 266th Street, you can drop off your large items in the dumpsters. (Items not accepted are cannisters, tires, propane tanks or anything with Freon.)

Please note: Dumpster Day is only for Arcadia residents who receive a water/sewer/trash bill from Arcadia Utilities.

HYDRANT FLUSHING SCHEDULED 9/25/23 thru 10/30/23

The Street Department will be flushing fire hydrants from September 25th through October 30th. Flushing hydrants can stir up sediment which could cause rusty water.

Please check your water before doing laundry.

There is water overflow at the water tower located at the northwest end of town. This is due to testing being performed. Please note this overflow will last for about 24 hours.

Pedestrian traffic on Olive Street between Home Avenue and Howard Avenue is prohibited due to construction in this area. Pedestrians are to use an alternate route and avoid this area.

The Arcadia Splash on Main will be closed for the 2023 season on Saturday, September 9th.

July 3, 2023

Effective immediately, we are no longer able to take brush at the burn pile at the Wastewater Treatment Plant for safety reasons. Very soon the plant will be undergoing construction and there will be no unauthorized personnel in the area allowed.

Hamilton County Bi-Centennial Celebration

Please consider visiting the Remnant in Arcadia on Friday, April 28th.

From 6am to 5pm, the Remnant will hold a self guided tour of the historical Arcadia timeline with additional information on the Hoosier Hot Shots as their video's and songs are playing on the Remnant's screens.

Grab a cup of coffee and a pastry as you make your way through the timeline while listening to the Hoosier Hot Shots.

2023 Republic Trash & Recycle Pickup Calendar

A copy of this trifold has been left on your new trash totes.

Our trash removal & recycling company is changing from Waste Management to Republic in April.

The final recycle date with Waste Management is next Thursday, March 23rd.

Waste Management will be picking up the recycle totes that day or soon after.

The final trash date with Waste Management is Thursday, March 30th.

They will be picking up their regular trash totes on March 30th or soon after.

Please leave your Waste Management totes at the road for retrieval.

March 23 = Recycle tote

March 30 = Regular trash tote

Republic will be dropping off your new trash & recycle totes before their start date during the first week of April.

We will provide updates, a new trash calendar and information as soon as we receive them.

The Town of Arcadia is improving the Town's infrastructure for Wastewater, Storm Water and Water. These projects will continue through the Summer of 2024.

These projects could include seeing various barricades, road closures, hoses going across your road which you CAN drive over (just don't drive over any Fire Engine hoses), etc. We know that some people have already experienced issues with the projects and not everyone is experiencing issues.

These inconveniences are unfortunate, we understand. There is no "best" time to do these projects. These projects are DECADES overdue.

Please bear with us during this time.

The town has begun it's Wastewater improvement project. This project could possibly continue until May 2023. During this improvement project, you may experience an odor near your home. Here is some information about the odor and what is being done around town.

January 16, 2023

Beginning Monday, January 16, 2023, the town will begin a Wastewater project. This project could possibly continue until May 2023.

In stages, residents may receive a knock on the door or a note on your door from PPI (Performance Pipelining Inc.)

They are the contractors for this project and will explain how they are working near your home and will request that you use your water sparingly during a small period of time. They will instruct you as to how long this timeframe will affect your home.
